Our experience with the planning system and our knowledge of current and emerging policies enable us to make informed decisions regarding the viability of a development.

Maximising a sites potential is critical to the viability of any development. Using local planning policy, building for life, life time homes (now removed but still provides an excellent resource) and secure by design we have developed various schemes that provided both market and affordable housing in a sustainable manner. This is achieved by testing ideas through the design process and how ideas can be adapted to conform to modern living and practical guidance standards.

Building for Life is also key to the development of a site to maximise its potential to create a well-designed layout that local communities, local authorities and developers can relate to, ensuring quality places are created. With our extensive knowledge and community involvement we are able to understand the needs of local people and in particular work with local authorities to further understand the needs of a particular area.

With having prior experience working with the local housing associations, and we have been able to determine quality specifications for affordable units to ensure the properties achieve their desired standards.

While providing a multi-disciplinary design services to our client’s we also carried a project management role, to monitor progress related to programme and expenditure. We also carried out stage inspections in accordance with the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) guidance, similar to NHBC requirements.
